Once the reshaping is complete, the incision site will be closed with external dissolvable sutures.

What is the recovery process like?

The head will be wrapped with a bandage to wear during the healing process. Patients and their parents should expect some minor swelling and bruising to occur as the body recovers from the surgery. Patients should keep the head elevated and ears cool to allow for proper healing.
