What to Expect During the Juvéderm Procedure

The Juvéderm injection procedure is relatively quick, lasting only approximately 15 minutes, and requires no downtime in the majority of cases. The procedure is performed as follows:

A topical anesthetic is not necessary but may be applied for optimal comfort.

Risks of Juvéderm

There are very few risks associated with Juvéderm injections; however, patients may experience redness, swelling, bruising, or mild pain. Symptoms should subside after a day or two and can also be alleviated with over-the-counter pain medication.
